Sturli inizia a creare i Fotoeventi nel 1974, con azioni sull'immagine di vario tipo come: fuoco, terra, liquidi e decomposizioni formali. L'artista realizzava queste opere nel contesto dell'azione gestuale e della performance, esprimendosi con un evento temporale all'interno dell'opera d'arte. 1974 saw the beginning of Sturlišs "Photoevents", in which elements such as fire, earth, liquids and formal decompositions interact with his images. These works enter the realm of gestual action and performing arts, finding expression as temporal events within the work of art.
